Splash Day Village Green's annual fundraiser, Splash Day, first began 19 years ago with a dare. Because we traditionally open our apartment community pools in early April, often before swimming-friendly weather, a manager accepted a dare to take the plunge, but only if pledges were made for donations to a worthy cause. Since then, Village Green has donated up to $50,000 a year to various charities with Splash Day efforts from each of its regions.
Village Green will hold our 19th annual Splash Day for local charities on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Come watch and help support a worthy cause as Village Green staff and residents continue the tradition of raising funds by collecting pledges to plunge into chilly waters and open the pool season!

Village Green Associates, Residents, Partners and Community Members Raised Nearly $65,000 for Area Charities
On Saturday, April 18, and May 2, 2009, Village Green's associates, residents, partners and local community members teamed up to make a BIG SPLASH for local charities at our 18th annual Splash Day. Village Green raised nearly $65,000 to benefit non-profit organizations in our regional areas and once again surpassed our largest total by more than $15,000! The regional charities benefiting from Splash Day 2009 include: Your support and that of our apartment communities' area businesses and Village Green partners helped us achieve our record-breaking total and give back to these deserving charities.
